Many roads here have been renamed (Lornie Road to Jalan Syed Putra, Birch Road to Jalan Maharajalela), probably to sweep off British influence and establish a ‘local identity’. Personally I find it sad. This particular road lays somewhere near the parliament. I suspect there is a typo in the signage.
